The threat of rain disappeared for this route-testing mission! The stretch of river heading West towards Henley was absolutely glorious, with many fellow walkers out enjoying the sun. Among the wildlife on the walk were the sheep just outside Hambleden and wild deer running through Pullingshill Woods. There were a few steep climbs after reaching Hambleden but the reward came in the beautiful woods. Just keep following the white arrows on the trees! At the end of the walk it was over to Burgers for well-deserved refreshment. As the afternoon was still young (ish) I then went back along the river, this time to Bourne End to pick up the train back. Thoroughly recommended!

Down at the water's edge, Marlow
