1 September 2018 - Oxford Circular

An absolutely stunning day and a very warm one (I instantly regretted wearing jeans but was grateful I packed my sunglasses). The walk itself was a gentle stroll along well trodden paths. It began along the river Thames in Oxford itself and meandered along past Binsey and Godstow Lock. Once just away from the river, the route went through the beautiful expanse of Port Meadow before heading back towards Oxford. The return leg took in the canal before a wandering journey through the many historical colleges of Oxford University. At times progress was slow due to the number of visitors to the town, but finally I made it to 'The Nosebag' for a delightful piece of cake before heading back to the mainline station.
